A luz é uma das ferramentas visuais que mais utilizo para criar imagens intemporais. Fotografar em contra-luz permite simplificar formas e nalguns casos destacar silhuetas, movimentos e texturas. Podemos ainda criar um efeito pôr-do-sol, com dourados a circundar todo o animal e a iluminar o ambiente em seu redor.
Estas imagens resultam de muito trabalho prévio, fazer uma leitura antecipada da luz e do posicionamento preciso no terreno, aprendendo mais sobre o comportamento animal e esperar que ele entre no enquadramento certo no momento exato. Mais do que mostrar detalhe, estas fotografias procuram sugerir, criando uma ligação emocional através da luz.

Light is one of the visual tools I use most to create timeless images. Photographing against the light allows us to simplify shapes and, in some cases, highlight silhouettes, movements, and textures. We can even create a sunset effect, with golden hues surrounding the entire animal and illuminating the environment around it.
These images result from a lot of prior work, anticipating the light and precise positioning on the terrain, learning more about animal behavior, and waiting for it to enter the right frame at the exact moment. More than showing details, these photographs seek to suggest, creating an emotional connection through light.
