Os morcegos são dos animais mais incompreendidos da nossa fauna. Este projeto nasce da vontade de mostrar o seu verdadeiro papel ecológico e desfazer mitos associados a estas espécies noturnas.
Fotografar morcegos exige preparação técnica e conhecimento do seu comportamento, sempre garantindo que não existe perturbação nem stress para os animais. Na maioria dos casos acompanho outros colegas biólogos nos seus trabalhos, e pelo meio aproveito para fotografar os morcegos. Estas imagens revelam a elegância, diversidade e importância dos morcegos portugueses, fundamentais para o equilíbrio dos ecossistemas.

Bats are some of the most misunderstood animals in our fauna. This project stems from the desire to show their true ecological role and dispel myths associated with these nocturnal species.
Photographing bats requires technical preparation and knowledge of their behavior, always ensuring that there is no disturbance or stress for the animals. In most cases, I accompany other biologist colleagues in their work, and in the meantime, I take the opportunity to photograph the bats. These images reveal the elegance, diversity, and importance of Portuguese bats, which are fundamental to the balance of ecosystems.
