A vida selvagem urbana revela uma capacidade de adaptação notável. Nestes ambientes, os animais convivem diariamente com o ruído, a presença humana e estruturas artificiais, reinventando comportamentos e estratégias de sobrevivência. O desafio passa por encontrar natureza onde muitos já não a veem. Parques e jardins tornam-se o ponto central, onde a visitação constante acaba por levar a uma habituação, deixando os animais confortáveis com a presença do ser humano, e permitindo nalguns casos aproximações que em locais mais selvagens seriam impossíveis. Este trabalho procura mostrar que a conservação começa também nas cidades, valorizando a biodiversidade que partilha o espaço connosco.

Urban wildlife reveals a remarkable capacity for adaptation. In these environments, animals coexist daily with noise, human presence, and artificial structures, reinventing behaviors and survival strategies. The challenge involves finding nature where many no longer see it. Parks and gardens become the central point, where constant visitation leads to habituation, making animals comfortable with the presence of humans, and in some cases allowing approaches that would be impossible in wilder places. This work seeks to show that conservation also begins in cities, valuing the biodiversity that shares the space with us.
