DIOGO OLIVEIRA

The wildlife short films directed by Diogo Oliveira of ONWILD are audiovisual projects that combine science, field observation, and visual storytelling. Each film is born from time spent in the field, biological knowledge of the species, and an ethical approach where respect for wildlife and habitats is always a priority.

These short films go beyond aesthetic recording. They are conceived as small documentary stories that reveal behaviors, ecological relationships, and natural contexts often invisible to a more hurried observer. The camera is used as a tool for interpretation and scientific dissemination, bringing the public closer to the reality of the species and ecosystems where they live.

Most of the projects are filmed in Portuguese natural environments, highlighting local biodiversity and showing that wildlife is present even in nearby and seemingly common territories. The rhythm of the films is marked by nature, respecting its times and silences, and allowing the images to guide the narrative.

ONWILD's short films also have a strong educational and awareness-raising character, being used in contexts of scientific dissemination, environmental education, festivals, and digital platforms. The goal is to create honest, rigorous, and visually engaging content that sparks curiosity, promotes knowledge, and encourages a more conscious relationship with nature.
